The Yoga Connection owner and founder Barbara Ward has just released a new CD, guiding students through the meditative process of Yoga Nidra. Here’s what you need to know to buy the CD and reap the relaxing benefits.
Barbara Ward co-founded The Yoga Connection in Plymouth 17 years ago, and has been helping students harness the physical and spiritual power of yoga meditation and exercise ever since. A certified Kripalu yoga teacher with hundreds of hours of professional experience, Ward has practiced and taught yoga for 50 years and is a registered Yoga Alliance member. She is also a Reiki master and a licensed psychotherapist.
Ward has released a CD about the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra. “Moving Stillness II” guides students through the transformational meditative process of Yoga Nidra. The 30-minute CD helps students achieve a deep state of relaxation while maintaining full consciousness. Yoga Nidra translates literally as “yoga sleep” and is wonderful at releasing anxiety and tension. Ward’s first CD, “Moving Stillness,” focused on yoga postures, breathing and relaxation. This is the second CD in the series, enhancing these and other lessens in deepening self-awareness and inner peace. Ward says both yoga devotees and newcomers can tap into the power of the lessons offered.
“Moving Stillness II” sells for $12. Buy both CDs in the series for $20 at The Yoga Connection, located at 7 Fremont St. in Plymouth. Credit cards are accepted. For more information, call 508-269-5780, 508-746-4446 or visit www.plymouthyogaconnection.com.
